Smoked Ham Tortas

telera roll, halved horizontally

¼cup

vegan mayonnaise

½cup

vegan refried beans, prepared

1packet

Smoked Ham Deli Slices divided

cup

pickled jalapeño slices

1small

avocado, pitted and sliced

1small

tomato, sliced

cup

onion, diced

4leaves

lettuce

2tablespoons

vegetable oil

  1. Spread telera roll with vegan mayonnaise and vegan refried beans.

  2. Place everything in the roll.

  3. In a heavy (preferably cast iron) skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Place sandwiches in and weight them down with a second heavy skillet.

    Cook until toasted (4 mins). Flip and repeat.


  4. To serve, cut in half.
