Sorrel Drink

water

3cups

dried hibiscus

1.5cups

palm sugar

vanilla bean, split

cinnamon sticks

whole cloves

whole allspice berries

grated fresh ginger

  1. In a stockpot, bring all ingredients to boil, covered. Let it simmer for 2m. Remove from heat, keep covered and let it steep for 1-2 days.

lime juice

  1. Add lime juice. Strain and serve over ice. This produces a fairly thick syrup, thus, it needs to be diluted over ice or if needed, add a little water to desired taste and consistency. Variations: Add rum!
