Celery with Peanuts |

1/2 | pound | celery, Chinese preferred | ||
½ | cup | peanuts, toasted | ||
14 | cloves | garlic, minced | ||
1 | tablespoon | Shaoxing wine | ||
1 | tablespoon | soy sauce | ||
⅛ | teaspoon | white pepper | ||
¼ | teaspoon | sugar | ||
2 | teaspoons | oil |
Cut celery into 1 inch long pieces, stems and leaves, both.
Blanch celery for 5 seconds
stir fry garlic in oil for 10 seconds
add blanched celery and stir fry one minute
Add peanuts, Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, white pepper and sugar and stir fry another 30 seconds
