Arepas with Chorizo |

2 | cups | masa harina | ||
½ | teaspoon | fine sea salt | ||
2 | cups | warm water | ||
2 | tablespoons | vegetable oil |
In a medium bowl, combine masa harina, fine sea salt, and warm water until smooth and not too sticky.
Divide the dough into 8 patties. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Add arepa and cook until golden brown on both sides (5 mins per side). To keep warm, cover with foil. Split in half with a fork.

In a skillet, add everything until Chorizo Crumbles is slightly crispy (5 mins).

jalapeño, thinly sliced | ||||
cilantro, chopped | ||||
lime, cut into wedges |
Top the bottom half of each arepa with chorizo mixture, and all fillings.
Cover with other half of arepa. Serve warm with lime wedges.
